Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the significant problem of bringing up the respectful attitude of the senior pre-school children to the elderly people in terms of interaction between the institutions of pre-school education and the family. The analysis of the status of the current research in the philosophical, psychological and pedagogical Ukrainian and foreign literature is done. The essence of such concepts as "upbringing", "moral education", "senior pre-school age" is clarified; the correlation of concepts "relations", "relationships", "attitudes" is also specified. In the context of the study the concept "respectful attitude to the elderly people" is described as a manifestation of respect, recognition of dignity, care for people with a considerable life experience. The psychological and pedagogical characteristics of senior pre-school children and the features of their interaction with elderly people are revealed. The criteria of bringing up the respectful attitude of the senior pre-school children to the elderly people are singled out. The pedagogical conditions and the pedagogical model of bringing up the respectful attitude of the senior pre-school children to the elderly people have been developed and experimentally checked. They include: the improvement of the theoretical and methodological preparation of pre-school teachers for the process of bringing up the respectful attitude of the senior pre-school children to the elderly people; interaction of the institution of pre-school education and the family on the basis of the subject-subject orientation in the "adult-child" system of this process; the establishment of the atmosphere of respectful attitude in the educational environment of both the institution of pre-school education and the family. The main stages and the principal forms of work with pedagogical workers of pre-school education establishments, senior pre-school children, their families have been theoretically substantiated.
