Ninichuk A. Places of national memory in modern Ukrainian-Polish relations (1991 - 2018).

In the dissertation, on the basis of a wide range of sources, as well as the achievements of Ukrainian and foreign historiography, a comprehensive study of the places of national memory of Ukrainians and Poles, located on both sides of the Ukrainian-Polish border, was carried out. The state of preservation of places of national memory, their number, as well as features of national legislation of Ukraine and the Republic of Poland concerning their arrangement and preservation have been analyzed. The influence of places of national memory on the inter-ethnic Ukrainian-Polish relations in particular, and interstate relations between Ukraine and Poland in general, is researched. The scientific and social discourse in the Ukrainian and Polish societies has been followed around complex pages of common history, socio-historical stereotypes related to controversial moments of common history, and the influence of the historical memory of neighboring nations on the place of national memory has been traced.
