Mykhaylyuk M. Ethnocultural potential of the Jewish ethnos of small towns of the Capital Socio - Geographical Region of Ukraine

The dissertation reviews the forms of spatial organization of Ethnocultural potential (ECP) of the Jewish ethnos in small towns of the Capital Socio - Geographical Region (SGR) of Ukraine. The Capital SGR consists of Kyiv, Chernihiv and Zhytomyr oblast (provinces). The purpose of the dissertation was to actualize the cultural heritage of the Jewish ethnic group of small towns of the Metropolitan Social - Geographic Region in order to stabilize the socio - economic situation through the development of tourism. The essence of the ECP as a scientific category of social and economic geography was revealed. The ECP was defined as a set of tangible and intangible objects and means of traditional culture, formed on a certain territory in the process of ethnocultural genesis, which can be used to meet the needs of people and increase the competitiveness of the region.
