The dissertation provides a comprehensive historical and pedagogical analysis and generalization of the development of ideas about the pansophic education of Ya. A. Komensky, reveals and reveals their methodological significance and heuristic potential in modern pedagogy. The research presents a methodology for studying the development of a pansofic idea in the teaching of John Amos Comenius, in the context of which it is considered as a pedagogical idea that guides pedagogical science and practice to the formation of a holistic image of the world. The significance of Comenius's thesis on the three steps to pansoficheskoy knowledge – «empirical, epistemic and heuristic» («Pansophy») – is described, which reveals the development of the idea of panosophyne, based on the internal structure of the views of the author in the dynamics of their formation. It justifies the use of historical-genetic, phenomenological and hermeneutical methodology approaches. The historiography and source of research are disclosed. In view of the study of J. A. Comenius's pedagogical heritage, three complexes of sources - primary sources are conventionally singled out, reflecting the personified approach; secondary sources, which reflect the chronological features and the level of generalization of information and scientific intelligence, grouped by problem-thematic approach. The study of the genesis of the idea of pansofyhnosty served as the basis for determining the main stages of the development of pansofichnyh ideas in the pedagogical heritage of J. A. Comenius, namely: the formation of the conceptual core of the pansional idea in the early works of J. A. Comenius «Labyrinth of light and heaven of the heart» and «Encyclopedia of general wisdom»; the formation of the «pansophic lexicon» as a categorical apparatus of the pansophic education of J. A. Comenius in «The Preacher of general wisdom» and the method of achieving pansophic knowledge («Great didactics», «Analytical didactics»); a presentation of the pedagogical aspect of the idea of panosophyne, the justification of the doctrine of «three-tiered knowledge» in the «Pansophy» - the third part of the «General Advice on the correction of human cases»; the development of the conceptual-content and methodological aspects of the pansophic idea in textbooks, books addressed to teachers (Physics, World in Pictures, Pansophic School, Praise to the true method, etc.). The heuristic potential of the idea of panosophyte, connected with modern integration, interdisciplinary tendencies, the transformation of which was developed in the methodology of modern pedagogical science, was substantiated. The interrelation and mutual influence of the principles of the idea of panosophytic realization with the basics of heuristics in modern education, with modern methodology of heuristic learning (dialogicity, practical orientation, interdisciplinary, metaphorical) are described. The substantiated heuristic aspects of the teaching work of the Comenius of different years («The Maze of Light», «Pansophia», etc.). The author analyzes the Trinity as a perspective direction in the development of the methodology of historical and pedagogical knowledge disclosed in the pedagogical works of Comenius, which contributes to overcoming the value polarization, the rigid confrontation of positions and ideologies, which orientate modern pedagogical science and practice on the formation of a holistic image of the world. Predictability of Comenius' educational ideas on tendencies of modern educational environment development in educational establishments, their successful interpretation in current educational documents and in practice in the context of implementation of the Concept of the New Ukrainian School was established.
