Savina O. Value-oriented anti-risk management of portfolios of science- based projects of enterprises

The dissertation renders a solution to the relevant scientific and applied problemof development and research of the models and methods for value-oriented management of portfolios of science-based projects of enterprises (PSPE) along with minimization of their risks, which helps to increase the efficiency of management of such portfolios. The conceptual model of value-oriented management of PSPE has been developed. First, it includes innovation behind science-based projects into the value criteria of their selection to the portfolio. Then, it provides an increase in the efficiency of management indicators by reducing the losses from risks through their limitation, redistribution and minimization at the stage of PSPE formation. To assess the value of PSPE, a new indicator “I” has been introduced to the balanced scorecard “5E+2A”. It stands for innovation behind the science-based projects that are portfolio candidates, i.e. their scientific novelty, scientific idea, and advanced science- based product or management. The resulting improved balanced scorecard “5E+2A+I” is applied to assess the additive value of these projects in the mathematical model of value- oriented anti-risk management of PSPE. The economic and mathematical model of project portfolio formation has been improved. Thus, there has been solved an optimization problem of maximizing the value of a project portfolio. Unlike the existing value-oriented models, it allows taking into account the level of innovation of science-based projects by using the indicator of innovation, as well as reducing the risks of PSPE by their limitation at the stage of portfolio formation.
