Ihnatusha H. Oleksandr Voronyn (1926–2013): public and religious activities

The object of research: the social and political, national and cultural, and religious processes in Ukraine and in the world, under the conditions of which the formation and implementation of O. Voronyn as the Ukrainian public and religious figure took place. The aim of research: the coverage of the process and factors of personality formation of O. Voronyn, the establishment of a contribution to social and political, national and cultural, and religious life, to the preservation and enhancement of the collective memory of Ukrainian for the sake of the national and religious revival of Ukraine, the enrichment of Ukrainian history with the names of active, but still little-known figures. The subject of research: O. Voronyn’s personality, his social and religious activities in the diaspora and in Ukraine, which was a response to important social and political, national and cultural, and religious challenges of society, and had a wide intellectual spectrum: scientific andhistorical, journalistic, theological, pedagogical, charitable. The results of research: the systematic analysis of the life and career, public and religious activities of O. Voronyn in the context of social and political, national and cultural, and religiousprocesses in Ukraine and the world is carried out. The factors of personality formation and the stages of life of O. Voronyn are highlighted. The questions of the influence of the family on the formation of worldview guidelines and the spiritual formation of O. Voronyn are developed. The place of O. Voronyn as a figure of the “second plan” in the system of social and cultural relations of the Ukrainian diaspora in the USA and Ukraine is determined. The conceptual approaches of O. Voronyn in the history of the Ukrainian church, to his mission in the world, to the school education system, in the organization of book publishing are revealed. The sphere of usage: the further research of the current subject, writing of the synthesis works, manuals, reading of the high school courses on the history of Ukraine.
