Essay

Object – the organization of parents’ education during the second half of XX – the beginning of XXI century; aim – to systematize the theoretical ideas and generalize the practical experience data on parents’ education by means of mass media (the second half of XX – the beginning of XXI century) in order to implement the accumulated pedagogically valuable ideas for further development of Ukrainian system of education; methods – general scientific, historical, empirical, prognostic; novelty – the dissertation presents the first comprehensive historical-pedagogical analysis of the theoretical ideas and practice of parents’ education by means of mass media during the second half of XX – the beginning of XXI century; the stages in parents’ education by means of mass media are determined and specific aspects of parents’ education by means of mass media during the researched period are singled out; the definition of the term “parents’ education by means of mass media” is suggested and specified; the directions of the studies of the researched problem in Ukrainian historiography are analysed; the methods and forms of parents’ education by means of mass media are studied; the scientific data on the genesis of the ideas of parents’ education by means of mass media in Ukraine are added; results – the research allows to implement the pedagogically valuable ideas of the past for the improvement of parents’ education by means of mass media in Ukraine. The unknown archival materials and data on parents’ education by means of mass media during the researched period are offered for further scientific research. The scientific conclusions of the research will be helpful within both formal and informal parents’ education forms (seminars, lectures, specific Internet resources – sites, blogs, forums, webinars); field – pedagogy.
