Shevchenko I. Heart morphogenesis of the rat under the influence of lead acetate and circumstances of correction (anatomical and experimental study)

According to histological and morphometric studies, a conclusion was made about the negative effect of lead acetate solution on myocardial morphogenesis in prenatal and early postnatal development. It was established that the toxic effect was manifested in disturbance of the morphogenesis of the wall of the heart, especially the right ventricle, occurrence without cellular sites, which is evidence of dystrophic changes in cardiomyocytes. In our own studies, we also discovered and proved morphological manifestations of dystrophic changes and initiation of inflammatory reactions, and lesions were nonspecific for the atrium and the ventricle and mainly consisted of interstitial edema. At the same time, the density of nuclei in different phases of mitosis is increased, we have been evaluated as a manifestation of compensatory and regenerative processes
