Object of the research is the process of future elementary teachers' professional preparation; subject of the research is educational and pedagogical situations system for the development of future elementary teachers' readiness to evaluation activity; aim of the research lies in formulation, theoretical argumentation and verification of the system of educational and pedagogical situations through which the effective process of elementary teachers' preparation to assessment activity takes place; in order to solve the set tasks the following methods of pedagogical research have been used: theoretical, empirical, statistical; scientific novelty lies in the following: for the first time educational and pedagogical situations system for the development of future elementary teachers' readiness to evaluation activity has been worked out, theoretically and practically verified; components of future teachers' readiness to assessment activity are theoretically grounded; criteria and levels of future elementary teachers' readiness to evaluation activity have been formulated; principles and pedagogical conditions for formation of future elementary teachers' readiness to evaluation activity have been defined. Methods of interlocutory approach and role-playing games in professional preparation of future elementary school teachers have been further developed.
