Thesis for Pedagogical Sciences Candidate Degree in Speciality 13.00.04 – Theory and Methods of Professional Education. Oleksandr Dovzhenko Hlukhiv national pedagogical university, Hlukhiv, 2019. The thesis theoretically substantiates and practically solves the actual scientific task of forming the future biology teachers’ readiness for nature preserving activities. The state of development of the problem in educational theory and practice is analyzed and the role of education for promoting sustainable development and empowerment in environmental protection is argued. The essence and structure of future biology teachers' readiness for nature preserving activity are specified, criteria, indicators, levels and means of diagnosing it are defined. The organizational and pedagogical conditions for forming the future biology teachers’ readiness for nature preserving activities were identified and theoretically substantiated. The structural-functional model and methodics of forming the future biology teachers’ readiness for nature preserving activities has been developed. The experiment was organized and conducted to confirm the effectiveness of the identified organizational and pedagogical conditions.
