Tomashivska M. Formation of Future Music Teachers’ Professional Competence By Means of Ukrainian Folk Music

The thesis presents the results of theoretical analysis and methodological support of the formation problem of future music teachers’ professional competence by means of Ukrainian folk music. The theoretical and methodological principles of the formation problem of future music teachers’ professional competence are substantiated (on the basis of competent, ethno-cultural, personality-activity, axiological and environmental approaches); the structure of the competence studied (in unity of personal, cognitive, content and reflexive components) and the structural-functional model of its formation by means of Ukrainian folk music have been developed. The role and significance of Ukrainian folk music as a means of formation of future music teachers’ professional competence are found out. The pedagogical conditions for the implementation of the structural-functional model of forming future music teachers’ professional competence by means of folk art are substantiated.
