Essay

The dissertation work is devoted to the studying of age-related patterns of remodeling of the structures of the tongue, its arterial, venous, hemomicrocirculatory beds in laboratory mature white male rats of different age in desquamative glossitis. While ageing atrophic processes take place in the mucous membrane and muscles of the intact tongue of laboratory white male rats. At the same time, the height of epithelial cells and their nuclei decreases with the stability of nuclear-cytoplasmic relations in these cells and an increase in the relative amount of damaged epithelial cells. Age-related features of remodeling of the arteries of the tongue in experimental animals are characterized by a thickening of their walls, narrowing of the lumen, a decrease in the height of endotheliocytes, a decrease in the diameter of their nuclei and the Kernogan index. Structural reconstruction of vessels of hemomicrocirculatory bed of the intact tongue also occurs with age, which is characterized by a decrease in the diameters of arterioles, precapillary arterioles, hemocapillaries and expansion of lumens of capillary venules and venules. Under simulated experimental conditions, the structure of the arteries of mainly a small caliber of the tongue changes significantly, which is characterized by thickening of the wall, narrowing of their lumen, damage to endotheliocytes, endothelial dysfunction, poor blood supply, hypoxia. Desquamative glossitis leads to the significant remodeling of the hemomicrocirculatory bed of the tongue: narrowing of the microvasculature lumen of the parietal and metabolic units and widening of its portable part. Desquamative glossitis remodeling of the mucous membrane epitheliocytes and muscle fibers of the tongue. The degree of morphological restructuring of these structures and vascular bed was pronounced the most in the test organ of experimental animals of the older age group.
