The dissertation is devoted to the problem of forming speech culture in future specialists of tourist service in professional training. The paper analyses the state of the development the problems in the psychological and pedagogical literature. Speech culture is characterized as a pedagogical category. Its structure, communication signs, current trends and conditions, the criteria with appropriate indicators and the level of its formation, are identified The results of the analysis of the research prove that the notion of «culture of speech» and «speech culture» are synonymous. At the same time it is justified such a point of view that the concept of «speech culture» is wider than the concept of «culture of speech» because it reflects not only the normative speech aspect but also the personal, individual characteristics of the person. The content of the concept «speech culture» in the context of training specialists in tourism service is specified. It is a part of general culture, which includes the speech intelligence, language behavior; cultural speech space of each person is polyphonic, multi-dimensional and fundamentally incomplete; creative personal development due to the ability to clear, logical and correct to thinking and to express their opinions; mastering the speech culture largely provides professional and personal fulfillment of a person. The structural components of the speech culture (motivational, cognitive and activity) are identified, which provide purposefulness, effectiveness and efficiency of actions towards the goal of professional communication. In accordance with the identified components, the criteria and indicators of the formation of speech culture are substantiated: motivational-valuied, knowledge-cognitive, professional-communicative. The levels of speech culture formation (low (reproductive), medium (productive) and high (professional)) are established. According to the objectives of the research, the current state of future specialists training for the tourism industry has been analyzed. Studying the research problems of pedagogical theory and practice it has been stated that there are a number of issues that require further theoretical comprehension and practical implementation. Analyzing the modern theory and practice of the language training of future specialists, can be argued that the theoretical basis of formation of the language and culture for students is not enough studied and developed. In accordance with the objectives of the study, the current state of speech culture of future specialists in tourism services has been analyzed and pedagogical conditions have been substantiated: activation of motivation of future specialists in tourism services to master speech culture; professionally-oriented restructuring of the content of language training for future tourism service professionals; formation and expansion of professional vocabulary by means of the «Electronic Glossary on Tourism » and «Comprehensive Glossary on Tourism»; involvement of future tourism professionals in communicative interaction through the use of interactive teaching methods.
