The dissertation is a theoretical and experimental study of the problem of the increasing the level of the professional competence of the junior specialists in computer engineering in radio engineering colleges. Based on the analysis of the content of the professional activity, the concept of the "professional competence of the future specialists in computer engineering" as an integral characteristic of the future specialist’s personality was clarified, it combines the knowledge, the skills, the knowledge of the skills in system and hardware engineering and the professionally important qualities which together provide an effective solution to the problems of the professional maintenance of the computer systems and networks. Being an integrated characteristic of the specialist’s personality, the professional competence of the future junior spe-cialist in computer engineering combines such structural components as the cognitive; professional activity; personal. The pedagogical conditions for the formation of the professional competence of the future junior specialists in computer engineering in radio engineering colleg-es are determined and substantiated theoretically by the way of the develop-ment, an assimilation and use: an integrated content of the professional train-ing which combines the fundamental-technical, specialized-professional and professional-practical education-content blocks of the academic disciplines that contributes to the formation of the general professional and specialized com-ponents of the professional competence of the future specialists in computer engineering ; the complex professionally oriented tasks that allow to simultane-ously form the instrumental, general professional and specialized components of the professional competence simultaneously; a set of the interactive methods and group forms of studying that ensure the development of both the profes-sionally oriented and socio-personal components of the professional compe-tence of the future specialists in computer engineering. To diagnose the formation of the professional competence of these specialists, the criteria (cognitive, activity-operational, personal), the indicators and levels (high, medium, low) of the manifestation of this socio-professional phenome-non have been specified; a diagnostic tool has been selected. The effectiveness of the proposed pedagogical conditions was proved by the experimental verifi-cation. The probability of the experimental work results is proved by means of the mathematical statistics.
