Theoretical and methodological objectives and results of experimental verification of pedagogical conditions of training of future police officers for professional communication in the higher educational establishments with specific conditions of study have been presented in the research. The professional activities of police officers and their communicative component have been described based on the results of the analysis of psychological and pedagogical literature. The goals, tasks, subjects of the process, content, principles, methods, and forms of interaction of the National Police with different segments of the population, offenders, colleagues, victims, their relatives, representatives of mobile organization of police professional activity according to the requirements of employers and citizens have been revealed. The communicative component of police professional activity provides its effectiveness since the performance of functional duties by the National Police officers is connected with professional communication. Namely: communication of the National Police officer with colleagues in the police unit, with the Executive Board and employees of other services; with individuals involved in the commission of crimes or offenses; individuals, providing assistance in prevention, detection, clearance of crimes; communication with public officials. The essence of the concept of “professional communication of police officers” as a process of establishment and development of police contacts with different segments of the population, victims and offenders, colleagues, the injured party, their relatives, the mass media during the performance of their professional duties has been revealed. Such essence consists in information exchange and searches for ways of mutual understanding and joint activity, the use of linguistic means in solving conflict situations. The connection between the professional communication and such fundamental concepts of research as professional competence and speech culture of law enforcement officials and professional ethics of the National Police of Ukraine has been found. The readiness of future police officers for professional communication as a personal and professional newly formed structure has been revealed. It involves a complex of positive motivational fixations on the goal and interaction result of law-enforcement officials within the context of regulatory legal environment, knowledge, and skills of professional communication, personal and moral qualities, including communicatory and verbal abilities. The structure of such readiness is formed by motivational and professional, meaningfully-active, ethical and moral components, ensuring the effectiveness of police law enforcement activities. From the perspective of the author's approach, the following types of skills of police professional communication have been distinguished: analytical and prognostic, communicatory and speech, non-verbal and presentational, organizational and technical, regulatory and corrective ones. The criteria (such as motivational and positional, cognitive and procedural and evaluative and personal) with correspondent indicators of the level of readiness of future police officers for professional communication in higher educational establishments with specific conditions of study have been clarified. The following pedagogical conditions have been theoretically justified and experimentally tested. Such conditions include: motivation and encouragement of future police officers to learn the requirements of professional communication and improve their own culture of speech; systematic training of cadets through linguistic skills to capture knowledge and skills of professional communication by them; application of ICT with the purpose to prepare future police officers for remote professional communication. A model of training of future police officers for professional communication in the higher educational establishments with specific conditions of study has been developed. It explains the relationship between the social order for highly qualified police officers, the specifics of the professional activities of the National Police of Ukraine, the peculiarities of communication with various social groups, offenders, colleagues, victims, and their relatives, qualitative training of future police officers for professional communication. Methodical recommendations for teaching staff to improve the training of future police officers for professional communication in the higher educational establishments with specific conditions of study have been developed.
