Essay

The object of research is prooxidant-antioxidant homeostasis in semen and its influence on the quality of sperm production of breeding boars with correction of vitamins and microelements. Purpose: to find out the peculiarities of the formation of prooxidant-antioxidant homeostasis in the semen of breeding boars, depending on individual factors, and on this basis to develop new ways to increase their reproductive capacity. Research methods - physiological (establishment of physiological features of formation of prooxidant-antioxidant homeostasis in breeding boars depending on the season and intensity of their use; study of the impact on the animal's body of feeding vitamins A, E, and C and lactates Zn, Se, Cu and Fe), biochemical (study of biochemical parameters of whole and diluted sperm and its plasma), statistical (biometric processing of digital data), analytical (literature review, analysis and generalization of the results). Scientific novelty of the obtained results - for the first time physiological features of formation of prooxidant-antioxidant homeostasis in sperm and sperm plasma of breeding boars depending on the season and mode of their use were established, which significantly complement modern ideas about the role of studied antioxidants in reproduction. physiology of animal reproduction. Based on the research, the positive effect of vitamin A, E, C complex on the qualitative and quantitative indicators of sperm of boars, under conditions of heat stress and the leading role of components of prooxidant-antioxidant homeostasis in ensuring the processes of motility, survival and fertilization. New scientific data on the dose-dependent effect of Zn, Se, Cu and Fe lactates on sperm fertility and sow fertility have been obtained. It is shown that feeding the feed mixture to breeding boars with the addition of lactates of the above trace elements by 10% and 20% more than normal, improves the quality of sperm production, primarily by increasing the functional activity of sperm of breeding boars and optimizing peroxidation processes. It was found that the introduction of lactates Zn, Se, Cu and Fe in whole and diluted sperm significantly increases the motility and survival of sperm by changing the prooxidant-antioxidant homeostasis in the direction of accelerating the processes of peroxidation. The effectiveness of the use of new ways to improve the reproductive function of breeding boars with the correction of vitamin and mineral nutrition and increase fertility of sows has been developed and scientifically substantiated. The scientific novelty of the obtained results is confirmed by three patents of Ukraine for a utility model. The following are proposed: effective ways to increase the reproductive capacity of breeding boars under heat stress by introducing new forms of vitamins into the main diet: dry microgranular form of retinol acetate (vitamin A), DL-α-tocopherol polyethylene glycol succinate (vitamin E) and ascorbic acid ) in crystalline form, which improve sperm production and functional activity of sperm by increasing the level of antioxidant protection, lactates Zn, Se, Cu and Fe, which optimize the state of prooxidant-antioxidant homeostasis in semen and sperm plasma. Implemented: In order to increase the reproductive capacity of pigs under heat stress, it is recommended to add to the main diet vitamin supplement (vitamin A, E and C) in the amount of 20% above normal, which optimizes sperm development, increases antioxidant protection, improves sperm quality and fertility of sows (Patent of Ukraine for utility model №133103). To optimize PAG and increase the reproductive capacity of pigs, it is recommended to add Zn, Se, Cu and Fe lactates to the main diet of breeding boars at a dose 20% higher than normal, which improves sperm quality and fertility of sows (Ukrainian patent for utility model №132475).
