Object of research: the preparation of future musical art specialists for managing amateur instrumental groups under the university conditions. Subject of research: a model of the preparation of future musical art specialists for managing amateur instrumental groups under the university conditions. the purpose of the research is to theoretically substantiate and experimentally test the model the preparation of future musical art specialists for managing amateur instrumental groups under the university conditions. In accordance with the goal, the main objectives of the study are identified: to study the state of research of the selected problem in the pedagogical theory and practice of universities. to clarify the conceptual apparatus of research, to determine the place of amateur collective instrumental performance in the system of modern education. substantiate the structure of professional competence of future leaders of amateur instrumental groups. to determine the criteria, indicators and levels of formation of professional competence of future leaders of amateur instrumental groups. to develop, substantiate and experimentally test the model of the preparation of future musical art specialists for managing amateur instrumental groups under the university conditions. research methods were used to solve the set tasks: theoretical - analysis, synthesis, generalization to compare and contrast different views on the researched problem in order to determine the conceptual and terminological apparatus; substantiation of the structure of professional competence, determination of criteria, indicators and levels of formation of professional competence of future leaders of amateur instrumental groups; substantiation of the model of preparation of future specialists of musical art to the management of amateur instrumental groups in the conditions of university for development of step-by-step preparation, definition of the maintenance of its stages, forms, methods, means of training; empirical - pedagogical monitoring (pedagogical observation, interviews, surveys, questionnaires, testing, interviews, attendance) in order to study the current state of training of future music professionals to lead amateur instrumental groups; pedagogical experiment for experimental verification of the model of the preparation of future leaders of amateur instrumental groups substantiated in the course of research; mathematical statistics - for quantitative and qualitative analysis of empirical data, processing the results of pedagogical experiments, establishing the statistical significance of research results and their quantitative and qualitative interpretation.
