Essay

The object: the process of professional training of future foreign languages teachers at higher education institutions. The subject: the pedagogical technology of developing polycultural competence of future foreign language teachers in professional training. The purpose: to identify and theoretically substantiate the pedagogical technology of developing polycultural competence of future foreign language teachers in professional training; methods: theoretical: analysis, synthesis, generalization and systematization of regulatory documents and scientific-methodological literature for defining the state of the development of the issue of developing future foreign languages teachers’ polycultural competence, for defining the categorial apparatus, and theoretical substantiation of the pedagogical technology of developing polycultural competence of future foreign language teachers in professional training; theoretical modelling for developing the pedagogical technology of developing polycultural competence of future foreign language teachers in professional training, describing its main components, stages, and the conditions of its implementation; empirical: diagnostic (questionnaires, interviews, testing, study of the products of educational and cognitive activities of students), observation for determining the levels of the development of polycultural competence of future foreign languages teachers; pedagogical experiment to find out the effectiveness of the technology of the development of polycultural competence of future foreign languages teachers in the process of professional training; methods of mathematical statistics for processing the obtained data and establishing a quantitative relationship between the studied phenomena and processes.
