Essay

The work is devoted to the study of the psychological characteristics of the development of organizational culture of the department of higher education. The content of the concept of "organizational culture" is investigated, the essence and functions of organizational culture are analyzed, the main approaches to the development of organizational culture are considered. The author's theoretical model of organizational culture of the department of higher education has been developed. Psychological features of the organizational culture of the department are considered at three levels: micro level (level of the internal environment, within the department of the university), meso-level (level of the external environment, within the university) and macro level (level of the external environment, outside the university). For each of the levels proposed criteria for the success of the organizational culture of the department. It has been empirically established that organizational cultures of objectively productive departments of various areas of training of specialists have different typological features and can be either “favorable” or “unfavorable”. It is proposed to use the SWOT analysis for planning the development directions of the organizational culture of the department of a higher educational institution. The following directions of the development were identified: typological; psychological-pedagogical; safety-related; image-related. A program is presented to promote the development of organizational culture of the department of higher education institutions, which consists of information-diagnostic, typological, organizational, psychological and pedagogical, security and motivational and communication sections. The proposed introduction of psychological support for the development of organizational culture of the department, which includes the following steps: strategically-defining; diagnostic; planning and analytical; software, implementation and controlling; corrective.
