The dissertation is devoted to the development of the theory of processes of mechanical interaction of the tram car and the upper track structure on the site with butt inequality and improvement of the ways of technical realization of the means of joint height control. In the dissertation the actual scientific and technical problem is solved, connected with creation of modern methods and means of research of processes of mechanical interaction of the tram car with the giving and receiving rails in the area of butt inequality taking into account the influence of operational, structural and mechanical factors of the tram car and the upper track structure for static and dynamic deflections, as well as the processes of shock interaction in the area of butt inequality under the first sleeper of the receiving rail.
