Vasylenko K. Internet edition in Ukraine as a mean of social communication.

With the involvement of a significant amount of empirical material, the birth, history, and dynamics of the development of the Internet publications of Ukraine are shown. The regularities and differences of the activities of the editors of Internet publications in comparison with other Mass-Media are established; analyzed the very specific conditions of creative work of journalists of online publications. The possibilities of improving the genre variability of Internet publications are considered; the features of expanding the capabilities of reporting investigations, author columns, and significant analytical materials have been investigated. The activities of the journalists of the Ukrainian Internet publications in informing civil society during political and public actions, the course of election campaigns are investigated. The main stages of the emergence and development of Internet publications in Ukraine are detailed.
