Essay

The dissertation is devoted to solving the urgent problem - expanding ideas about the nature and nature of philosophical and pedagogical views of Abu Nasr Al-Farabi, revealing their historical significance for pedagogy and identifying prospects for their further development. The historical period of Al-Farabi's life and activity is analyzed in the work, the positive and negative socio-historical, political and cultural factors which have influenced formation of his world outlook are allocated. The influence of the ideas of ancient Greek philosophers - Plato and Aristotle on the formation of scientific and pedagogical views of Al-Farabi. Al-Farabi's views on the subject and content of science education, its place in the classification of scientific sciences, goals and objectives, the order of study. Al-Farabi's main ideas in the humanities and education are described on the basis of a philosophical approach. The goals and objectives, the required level and content of humanities knowledge, requirements for students are highlighted. The essence of Al-Farabi's psychological and pedagogical views is revealed. It is determined that in his works the problems of mental, moral, aesthetic and physical education were developed, the decisive role of education in the formation of human character is shown.
