Fazan T. Preparation of women in Orthodox monasteries of Ukraine for spiritual and moral education of children (XIX – first quarter of XX century)

The dissertation provides a historical and pedagogical analysis of the process and content of preparation of women in Orthodox monasteries of Ukraine for spiritual and moral education of children of the XIX – first quarter of the XX century. The process of preparing women for the spiritual and moral upbringing of children in Orthodox monasteries is described as complex and dynamic, which has its stages, features, patterns, contradictions, trends. The content of training is revealed, its components are allocated, methods and forms are analyzed. The advanced experience of preparation of women for spiritual and moral education of children is generalized. It is established that the preparation of women for spiritual and moral education of children in Orthodox monasteries of Ukraine was based on the principles of Christian spirituality and pedagogical morality, humanism and love of God and neighbor. The leading tendencies of preparation of women for spiritual and moral education of children of the specified time and the present are revealed, the ways of actualization of the best experience in modern conditions are opened.
