Essay

The object of the study is the process of professional training of future service professionals in a higher education institution. The subject of the study is organizational and pedagogical conditions for the formation of cross-communication skills in future service professionals. The purpose of the study is to scientifically substantiate a complex of organizational and pedagogical conditions that ensure the formation of cross-communication skills in future service professionals. Research results and scientific novelty: The problem of development of cross-cultural communication skills in future service specialists is investigated in the thesis. Their system consisting of three blocks (skills that provide cross-cultural communication; skills that provide cross-cultural behavior; socio-perceptual skills) is defined and characterized. A set of organizational and pedagogical conditions for their development has been defined and tested: 1) providing a cross-cultural component of the content of professional training in future service professionals; 2) realization of quasi-professional cross-cultural activity of future service specialists by methods of innovative pedagogical technologies; 3) introduction of foreign language training on the basis of content and language integrated learning; 4) organization of communicative educational and professional activities in the intercultural environment by the methods of case technology and portfolio technology. The defined organizational and pedagogical conditions have been implemented into the educational process of higher education institutions on the following basis: special course «Cross-cultural communication in the field of service»; business game «Preparation for the opening of an international hotel»; author's trainings; didactic materials in a foreign language for certain modules of professional training courses; methodical recommendations to individual tasks of foreign internship. Scope of use: the study results are introduced into the educational process of higher education institutions.
