Essay

The thesis represents a theoretical and experimental study of the issue of improving the quality of vocational training of prospective handicraft and technology teachers, based on the use of ICT tools, including electronic educational resources. In the thesis on the basis of the complex analysis of scientific and pedagogical sources the fundamental psychological and pedagogical positions of interpretation of the concept “IC-competence of pre-service handicraft and technology teachers in the structure of the professional competence” are defined. It is the integrative, dynamic characteristic of prospective experts describing their ability to be guided in information space, receive information, operate on it and effectively use ICT in teaching. Criteria, indicators, and levels of formation of the IC-competence of pre-service handicraft and technology teachers are identified. The technology of using electronic educational resources in the training of pre-service handicraft and technology teachers in order to form the IC-competence of prospective professionals, which is currently one of the key components of professional competence of teachers in the specialty 014 Secondary Education (Labour Education and Technology), is theoretically substantiated and experimentally tested.
