In the dissertation for the first time in Ukrainian art history the peculiarities of plastic directing in the context of modern Ukrainian theatrical art are considered and analyzed, the philosophical concept of transgression to the field of plastic directing is extrapolated, global and glocal trends in performing arts of the XXI century. The phenomenon of plastic directing in the Ukrainian theatrical art of 1990– 2020 is theoretically substantiated; the specifics of semantic plastic interactions of the actor as one of the main means of embodiment of the director's concept and use of visual plastic expressiveness in modern theatrical practice of Ukrainian directors are revealed; analyzed common and different values, as well as forms of representation of the actor's corporeality in the theoretical developments and stage practice of leading directors of the XX – early XXI centuries; the peculiarities of the processes of convergence of elements of visual and audio arts in the conditions of domestic theatrical space of the specified period are considered and the specifics and individual features of the use of means of plastic expression are revealed in order to reveal the semantic content of productions.
