Dzhahunova O. Uman State Pedagogical University in the system of higher pedagogical education in Ukraine (1930-2014)

The thesis analyzes the formation and development of higher pedagogical education, in general, the formation and evolution of Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University, in particular, in a socio-political, cultural and educational, scientific life of Soviet Ukraine and their state during the formation, realization and modernization of the state educational policy of independent Ukraine. The research made it possible to study the place of Uman Pedagogical Institute in the network of pedagogical institutions of higher education of URSR and outline its evolution in the period of higher education reformation in independent Ukraine. The dynamics of educational potential and its place in the development of science in Ukraine have been elucidated. Qualitative and quantitative dynamics of scientific and pedagogical staff, number and geography of students have been shown. Educational, scientific and other types of activity of the institution of higher education have been characterized, the process of the formation of educational and material base has been studied.
