Essay

The dissertation deals with the retrospective analysis of organizational and pedagogical peculiarities of the teacher-training system in Transcarpathia in late XVIII – 1940s. According to the chronological framework of the research and objective historical conditions the author has substantiated the periodization of the process of establishment and development of the teacher-training institutions in Transcarpathia in late XVIII – 1940s: stage I (second half of XVIII century – 1919) – formation of pedagogical educational institutions, statutory and regulatory control of their activity; stage II (1919–1938) – organizational and pedagogical reforms of the pedagogical education system in the light of multicultural region conditions; stage III (1939–1944) – ideological and patriotic training of teachers in pedagogical institutions. The author has determined the legislative influence of the countries Transcarpathia belonged to within the framework of the elaborated periodization. It has been determined that in the chronological framework of the thesis, teacher training in Transcarpathia was performed in the following establishments: Uzhhorod Royal Greek Catholic chorister and teacher training seminary, Uzhhorod Greek Catholic teacher training seminary for girls and Mukachevo Hungarian Royal state public education teacher training seminary.
