Essay

The dissertation provides a scientific analysis of the problem of training teachers in the system of postgraduate education for career guidance work with high school students. In the process of analyzing the pedagogical and psychological literature, the theoretical principles of research, methodological approaches to the implementation of its tasks were determined: systemic, environmental, personal, activity and competence. The conceptual and categorical apparatus of the research has been clarified: "vocational guidance work", "vocational guidance", "professional information", "vocational guidance aspect of a teacher". The concept of “teachers' readiness to organize vocational guidance work with high school students” is formulated as a special professional and personal state, which includes a motivational attitude in organizing vocational guidance work with high school students, knowledge and skills of their effective implementation to achieve pedagogical goals. The study proves that it is the readiness of teachers for career guidance work in general education institutions that makes it possible to generate new ideas and translate them into the educational process.
