Essay

The preparedness of management students for managerial performance is a personal integrative quality characterized by a range of moral and value foundations, knowledge, skills and personal qualities required for the optimal implementation of managerial responsibilities. The concept of preparedness of management students for managerial performance is characterized by four aspects: motivational values, cognitive abilities, personaldisposition andactions strategy. Motivational values aspect includes a combination of ethical imperative, moral guides and values affecting the establishment of future manager’s morality. Motivational aspect fulfills incentive, developmental, educative and orientational functions, motivates students to study and adopt the basis of managerial performance as well as provides personification of education goals during professional training. Cognitive abilities aspect is presented by the system of specific knowledge about the guidelines of functioning and development of the organizations, their management and its core points, types and levels. Cognitive component contains educational, cognitive and analytical functions and enables students to acquire all the necessary professional knowledge during the process of education. Actions strategy aspect is presented with a combination of professional skills such as project arrangement, organizational and communicative skills. Actions strategy aspect fulfills educational, developmental, adaptive, orienting, technological and coordinational functions as well as maintains development of skills that students will need to implement their managerial functions. Personal disposition aspect includes such professionally valuable personal qualities as humanistic orientation, tolerance, responsibility, integrity, fairness, perseverance, self-confidence, positive self-esteem, reflectivity and preparedness for self-education. In the process of education, personal reflectivity component implies educational, developmental, incentive and controlling functions and provides formation of professional assets and moral values that are important for implementation of tasks of managerial performance.
