The object of the study is the White Guard regime of P. N. Wrangel in the Crimea. The subject of the study is the formation, functioning and termination of the activity of the political regime of P.N. Wrangel, the peculiarities of his domestic and foreign policy. The aim of the study is a comprehensive research of the political regime of P.N. Wrangel in Crimea (from April to November, 1920), the circumstances of its formation, analysis of the main directions of domestic and foreign policy of the Government of the South of Russia and assessment of the success or fallacy of government policy, its impact on the lives of citizens. The results of the study: poorly studied and controversial aspects of the White Guard political regime headed by P.N. Wrangel in the Crimea (from April to November, 1920) have been comprehensively studied. Low efficiency of government measures to maintain law and order, partial effectiveness of the state's struggle against the Bolshevik and anarchist underground and insurgent groups, insufficient attempts by the leadership of the Armed Forces of the South of Russia in strengthening the combat capability of the Russian army have been proven. The author highly appreciated the discussions in the press and in government circles on the land law. The above facts allow to correct the assessment of land reform generally accepted in the modern scientific literature. Public statements by P.N. Wrangel and his closest associates about the possibility of proclaiming national autonomy of Ukrainians and Crimean Tatars in the future were situational and, therefore, were not final political decisions of the ruling elite. Certain aspects of diplomatic relations between the Government of the South of Russia and the governments of different countries have been clarified. Scope of use: in writing scientific works on the history of Crimea and southern Ukraine; for the development of special courses for higher educational institutions.
