The dissertation presents the results of scientific and theoretical analysis of the problem of maintaining teachers’ professional health in preschool educational institutions. The methodical work with its systemic nature and cohesion of components is defined as one of the effective ways of improving teachers’ health in preschool educational institutions. The potential of recreational activities aiming at maintaining and improving health in the system of methodical work of preschool educational institutions is described. The key principles that ensure the effectiveness of the recreational approach in health care sector are identified; these are integrated use of recreational resources, balance of recreational activities, refreshment of health and spirits by enjoyment and use of an active environment. The scientific novelty of the research is that in the dissertation: for the first time the potential of the recreational approach for improving teacher’s health in preschool educational institutions is revealed; key components and content (objective, substantive, procedural and diagnostic and effective blocks) of the model of the systemic organization of methodical work in preschool educational institutions in terms of professional health are theoretically substantiated and presented; criteria and evaluation indicators of teachers’ professional health status in preschool educational institutions are introduced; the meaning of such a concept as "level of balance" aiming at defining the professional health status is clarified; the means of methodical work realization in preschool educational institutions are improved; approaches, content, forms, methods and means of maintaining teachers’ health in preschool educational institutions are described; the essence of the basic concepts of the research such as "health", "professional health", "recreational approach", "methodical work aiming at maintaining teachers’ health in preschool educational institutions" is specified; further development of the conceptual provisions of methodical work aimed to maintain teachers’ health in preschool educational institutions, as well as theoretical and practical aspects of the implementation of the recreational approach in the process of improving teachers’ health is observed. The stages of implementation of the author's model of the systemic organization of methodical work in preschool educational institutions in terms of maintaining teachers’ health (orientation, adaptation, stabilization stages) are singled out. The author's program of the creative group "Health improving school" is highlighted. The practical significance of the study is that its results can be used to solve the problem of maintaining teachers’ health in preschool educational institutions by means of the systemic organization of methodical work using recreational resources. Based on the results of the research, the author's program of the creative group "Health improving school" is introduced and implemented as one of the forms of methodical work in preschool educational institutions. The materials of the dissertation can be used by teachers in preschool educational institutions, lecturers in higher educational institutions in order to improve the process of professional training of pedagogical staff in preschool educational institutions, as well as in the system of postgraduate pedagogical education.
