Essay

An implementation of innovative learning technologies in the training of pharmacy professionals was substantiated. The changes in the structure of educational and training program were determined; an importance of the academic disciplines in the development of the professional knowledge and skills of future pharmacy professionals was analysed. The significance of competencies of educational and training program for the performance of professional functions by the professional was first assessed, and the level of competency development in graduates was first determined. A basic model of the competitive pharmacy professional was developed. The aspects of students' learning activity, learning motives and learning strategies were analyzed. A methodology for the development of learning outcomes at the level of academic disciplines in accordance with the competencies of educational and training program was proposed. The PBL method was developed and implemented in the training of future pharmacists professionals. An effectiveness of PBL as a way to activate the students' individual work, to develop motives, learning strategies and competencies of students was experimentally confirmed. The competency model of the graduate, which determines the main qualitative parameters for graduate training, covers the requirements for the qualification and level of competence, as well as structural components of the basic model of the competitive pharmacy professional was developed.
