Essay

The thesis deals with the study of anatomical topographic peculiarities of the hepatoduodenal ligament components in the perinatal period of ontogenesis. With the purpose to establish peculiarities of chronological succession of temporal transformations in the formation of topography and syntopic variants of the hepatoduodenal ligament components during the fetal and early neonatal periods of ontogenesis 70 specimens of fetuses (25 isolated complexes of abdominal organs and 45 dead fetuses) and 10 specimens of dead neonates were examined by means of a complex of adequate classical and up-to-date methods of anatomical examination: macroscopic, preparation of topographic-anatomical sections, injection of the arterial vessels, corrosion, radiological examination, statistical processing of morphometric parameters. The morphogenesis, typical and variant macro- and microscopic anatomy of the hepatoduodenal ligament components in the fetal and early neonatal periods of ontogenesis are studied. The literary data concerning peculiarities of the spatial-temporal interrelations of the extra-hepatic bile ducts, portal hepatic vein and branches of the proper hepatic artery are specified and supplied with new information. The periods of an intensive and slow growth are determined, morphometric parameters of the hepatoduodenal ligament components are examined, and their peculiarities are found during the perinatal period of ontogenesis. Peculiarities of Calot’s triangle topography are determined as well as additional triangles available in the structure of the hepatoduodenal ligament. The common bile duct, common hepatic duct, cystic duct, right and left hepatic ducts, hepatic portal vein, common hepatic artery, right gastric artery, proper hepatic artery, right, left and additional branches of the proper hepatic artery are the permanent components of the ligament forming a lot of intersection combinations between themselves. The sum total of the results obtained opens peculiarities of the perinatal topography and syntopic variants of the hepatoduodenal ligament components from a new point of view, their individual and age anatomical changeability.
