Pavlova N. Agile-transformation of project management for the development of transport and forwarding companies

The purpose of the dissertation research is to increase the efficiency of transport and forwarding companies through the development and practical use of models and methods of project management of their development in the framework of agile-transformation. The object of research is the processes of project management development of transport and forwarding companies in the framework of agile-transformation. The subject of the study are models and methods of project management development of transport and forwarding companies in the framework of agile-transformation. As a result of the research the actual scientific and applied problem is solved, namely, the theoretical basis of agile-transformation of management of projects of development of transport and forwarding companies is formed. It is established that the use of agile-methodology in combination with project-oriented management is one of the main options for gaining competitive advantage in a dynamic competitive environment for transport and forwarding companies. The "portfolio" essence of the main activity of the transport and forwarding companies and the specifics of the implementation of management at two levels - the level of a specific project (delivery) and the level of the portfolio (the company as a whole). The advantages of implementing project-oriented management for transport and forwarding companies are identified. The advantages of implementing project-oriented management for transport and forwarding companies are identified. The essence and classification features of operational activity projects and development projects of transport and forwarding companies are determined. Elements of the system of project-oriented management of transport and forwarding companies (types of projects, product, life cycle, stakeholders, value) are identified, which takes into account the industry specifics while maintaining the basic essence of the known categories. An agile-model of transport companies has been developed on the basis of the scrum framework. This model identifies the content of each sprint (cycle) and the structure of information exchange. Its basis is the varied parameters of the project – the characteristics of future delivery, namely, cost, time, possible deviations of time and cost. At a certain stage, these parameters are supplemented by ports of departure and destination. The model is tied to the stage of conceptual design of the project life cycle.
