Essay

The dissertation focuses on the study of physiological patterns and peculiarities of forming psychophysiological properties and physical development of sportsmen of different age engaged in volleyball. It is established that the formation of morpho-functional, cognitive, sensorimotor, neurodynamic and psychomotor properties of volleyball players and their non-athlete peers are subject to the patterns of continuous development, uneven and heterochronous nature of their formation. The scientific novelty of the study is determined by establishing sportsmen’s peculiarities to improve psychophysiological characteristics in ontogenesis that are characterized by more dynamic and advances nature and higher level of their development as well as high plasticity of their formation. In particular, it has been shown that psychophysiological functions and neurodynamic properties of adolescents and young sportsmen gradually develop and reach their highest level in adulthood at the age of 20-25. Age periods of more intensive (15-17) and delayed development (20-25) have been determined for the first time for psychophysiological functions and neurodynamic properties. It has been argued that adolescents aged 14-15, young people aged 16-17 and 18-19 and sportsmen aged 20-25 have a high degree of dependence of psychophysiological properties, as well as the success of game activities on genetically determined individual-typological features of the CNS. FMNP and VNP have been found to be basic properties of CNS that determine the interaction character of psychophysiological functions in forming functional system of volleyball players’ game activities. The relationship of morpho-functional, psychophysiological, neurodynamic and psychomotor properties with the success of volleyball players’ game activity has been found for the first time using the methods of mathematical modeling - MSUA and correlation. Multiparametric psychophysiological models of volleyball players of different ages have been built, and the structure of their game preparedness has been formed. The results of the dissertation are introduced into the practice of psychophysiological support of the training process of children’s, youth and professional volleyball teams, as well as in the training of coaching staff in Ukrainian universities.
