The object of research: personal and professional potential. The purpose: is a theoretical and empirical study to identify features of personality development and personal and professional potential while studying in a higher education institution. Methods: theoretical: analysis, synthesis, comparison, classification and systematization of modern research in the study of personal and professional potential; empirical: observation, which is used to identify the nature, content, used means of personal and professional development; Individual and group Discussions, which allow to reveal general evaluative judgments on topical research issues; typological questionnaire MBTI Mayer-Briggs; IL Solomin's questionnaire "Orientation"; J. Holland's Professional Advantages Questionnaire; E. Shane's questionnaire "Career Anchors"; Vanderlik's Short Oriented Test (SOT); methods of mathematical statistics Frequency, factor, cluster, analysis of variance; Fisher's criterion, correlation analysis (Pearson's coefficient r), experimental Data processing was carried out using the statistical software package IBM SPSS Statistics 26.0.0. Novelty: for the first time empirically substantiated structure and dynamics of development of personal and professional potential, on the basis of ideas about potential as an open dynamic self-organizing system; the essence of personal and professional potential as a process characterized by constant changes and development is revealed; the dynamics of formation of personal and professional potential is traced: from schoolboy to professional; the concept of personal and professional potential as a dynamic integration formation, which determines the resource opportunities of human development, is specified; received further development of the study of the features of personal and professional potential and the impact of free economic education on its formation; scientific ideas about the peculiarities of development and formation of personal and professional potential are expanded. The practical significance of the study. The results of the dissertation research can be used by school psychologists, teachers and lecturers of the Free Economic Zone, psychological services of universities to intensify the process of development of personal and professional potential of pupils and students.
