Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the Integrative models of painting perception by the example of Ukrainian art groups «Paris Commune» and «Picturesque Sanctuary» works of the late 1980s — mid-1990s. The study deliberately expands the boundaries of art criticism approaches to painting, attracting interdisciplinary methodologies to the substantive and object field of study, reflects the synthesis of scientific thought, which covers various disciplines, with the definition of features of aesthetic experience and factors of influence in the structure of visuality. For the first time the results of the development of philosophy, history and psychology of art, neuroaesthetics, cognitivistics, culturology are united in a common context in a single work. Despite the application of universal approaches to the painting perception within a scope of perceptual-aesthetic research, certain art typologies and stylistic-chronological stages are dissociated in the dissertation, within the bounds of which the application of methodologies in regard to the aesthetic message translation and perception gives clearly defined results.
