The study considers and summarizes the theoretical provisions of the problem of formation of professional competence of road transport specialists, in particular technicians-technologists, with the use of information-communicational technologies (ICT). The professional competence of future specialists in road transport using ICT is defined as the established professional information competence of the specialist, which is a set of knowledge, skills and abilities to use ICT, taking into account the individual characteristics of the specialist. On the basis of the analysis of psychological and pedagogical literature the theoretical substantiation of pedagogical conditions of formation of professional competence of future technicians-technologists in automobile transport colleges is carried out. Such conditions are chosen: creation of positive motivation in educational activity for personal and future professional growth of technicians-technologists by means of ICT; use of dual education in the process of formation of professional competence of future technicians-technologists; application of an integrated approach with the use of information and communication technologies. The components of professional competence of future technicians-technologists (value-motivational, cognitive, operational-activity, information-communicative and personal) are determined. Each component corresponds to the criterion, the level of formation on the basis of which conclusions are drawn about the effectiveness of the process. Thus, motivational: the formation of motives and goals of future professional activity; educational: knowledge and ideas about oneself as a professional, about the chosen profession, professional community; information-communicational: the ability to search and process information by means of information and communication and apply it in professional activities; activity: the presence of formed professional skills and abilities of future technicians-technologists; personal: emotional and evaluative attitude to professional beliefs and knowledge, emotionally positive perception of the profession. The levels of formation of professional competence of future technicians-technologists of motor transport with the use of ICT are selected: low, medium, sufficient, high. The structural-functional model of formation of professional competence of future technicians-technologists with use of ICT is developed, covering interconnected and interdependent blocks: normative-target (purpose, tasks, principles of the process of formation of professional competence), educational-procedural contains the set of pedagogical conditions of formation of professional competence and interaction of subjects of educational process, approaches, stages, forms, methods, educational disciplines); evaluation-effective is represented by components, criteria and levels of formation of the researched competence.
