Thesis reveals the essence, specifics of origin, features of the course and solution of the modern social conflict due to a systematic approach on the example of the Arab-Israeli conflict. The solution of modern social conflict involves taking into account the main methodological, value-worldview and socio-praxeological aspects of its research in the complex: nonlinear methodology is the most effective for research and practical solution of complex social conflict - multidimensional value and worldview confrontation.
Modern social conflict begins within one social system and one conflict of values, but in modern global society, a worldview conflict is formed, which covers all aspects of life of the conflicting parties, and as a result to the main line of conflict are added concomitants new conflicts in other systems, creating confrontation between the parties also on the whole set of values, which leads to even greater consolidation of the situation of social confrontation as habitual and normal. The essence of the modern complex social conflict as a typical social phenomenon of modern global society is revealed on the example of applying a nonlinear and systematic approach to the analysis of the Arab-Israeli conflict and possible ways to resolve it.
The experience of applying the socio-systemic approach to modern social conflict is clarified due to its rethinking on the basis of nonlinear philosophy, which provides for different scenarios and the possibility of parallel and alternate resolution of certain aspects of social conflict taking into account the interests of all parties, as opposed to traditional, linear paradigms processes, according to which the resolution of the conflict is possible only on one line with the obligatory loss of at least one of the parties to the conflict. It is revealed the cognitive potential of three main philosophical approaches to the study and search for ways to resolve social conflict: dialectical (Marx, Darendorf), functional (Simmel, Kozer) and nonlinear (Luhmann, Beck, Habermas)
It is provided further development, on the example of the philosophical study of Arab-Israeli relations, multifactor analysis as one that can be philosophically explained by the theory of social systems, making it possible to approach social conflict as a multidimensional – due to a number of relatively independent factors. The statements of the theory of risk society has been developed, on the example of the study of Arab-Israeli relations, to reveal the possibility of conceptualizing a complex social conflict, the unpredictability of which is greatly reduced by its analytical division into a set of interconnected but relatively independent simple conflicts – due to its attribution to some social systems.
A philosophical systematic substantiation of three main possible strategies for resolving such a conflict has been made: the traditional linear-force (pessimistic scenario of social conflict resolution), postmodern nonlinear modeling (optimistic scenario) and modern step-by-step reforms (realistic scenario).
