The dissertation study solves a scientific problem related to the definition and description of the content of the administrative and legal principles of the implementation of control and supervision activities by the preventive activity units of the National Police. The concept is characterized and the essence of the control and supervision activities of the preventive activity units of the National Police is revealed, and the current regulatory and legal principles of the implementation of control and supervision activities by the specified subjects of power are outlined. The administrative and legal status of the preventive activity units is determined, their place in the modern system of the National Police is clarified. The content of the main types and principles of control and supervision activities carried out by the preventive activity units of the National Police is disclosed, and the concept of administrative procedures for the implementation of control and supervision activities by the specified units is formulated. The complex of modern administrative and legal instruments for the implementation of control and supervision activities by the preventive activity units of the National Police, a complex of general and special guarantees for ensuring legality during the implementation of this management activity, has been identified and analyzed. The peculiarities of the interaction of preventive activity units with territorial communities and legal entities of public law regarding the implementation of control and supervision activities have been clarified. Legal and organizational directions for improving the administrative and legal regulation of the implementation of control and supervision activities by the preventive activity units of the National Police have been established.
