The dissertation theoretically substantiates the research problem and defines the pedagogical conditions for the preparation of future physical education teachers for the organization of competitive sports activities. On the basis of an analysis of the competencies that a future physical education teacher should possess in relation to the successful organization of competitive activities, the specifics (organizational, methodical, etc.) of competitive activities, the relevance of quality professional training of future physical education teachers to the organization of the competitive process in the conditions of educational institutions in unity is substantiated of the following components: classroom work, extracurricular work (practice, sports sections, competitions), non-formal / informal education and self-education. An analysis of the state of training of future teachers of physical culture in general and the organization of competitive sports activities in various higher education institutions aimed at mastering the necessary skills in the field of both psychological and pedagogical and special / professional training was carried out. The analysis of the results of the research and experimental work confirmed the presence of significant positive changes in the dynamics of the levels of readiness to organize competitive activities of the students of the experimental group (compared to the control group). The practical significance of the obtained results lies in the use of scientific provisions and conclusions of the study to increase the effectiveness of training future physical culture teachers for the organization of competitive sports activities, as well as in the approbation of research materials in the activities of higher education institutions (educational and methodological publications, an information package of educational and methodological materials in system Moodle, etc.). The research materials were used in the content of the courses «Theory and teaching methods of sports and movement games», «Basics of professional pedagogical skills», «Theory and methods of physical education», materials of industrial practice, etc.; when compiling educational and methodical editions, preparing term papers. The results of the dissertation research can be used in the organization of mass sports and competitive activities of students of higher education, in the process of personal motivation of students for physical self-improvement; when compiling educational and methodical editions, preparation of qualification papers; in scientific and pedagogical research.
