Leskiv-Bondarchuk H. Preparation of future specialists in physical education for sports and recreational work with people of the third age

The dissertation investigates the problem of training future physical education specialists for sports and health work with people of the third age at theoretical and practical levels. The work identifies the organization of sports and health work with people of the third age as a socio-pedagogical problem. The dissertation develops and theoretically substantiates a structural-functional model of training future physical education specialists for sports and recreation activities with people of the third age. The structural-functional model consists of four blocks: target, methodological, organizational-activity, diagnostic-productive. At the ascertaining stage of the experiment, we solved the following tasks: to determine the level of readiness of future physical education specialists for sports and health work with people of the third age; to prepare future physical education specialists, we developed a diagnostic block to perform this task. At the experimental stage, we determined the levels of development of sports culture of future physical education specialists who are preparing for sports and health work, according to the developed criteria: motivational-value, professional-cognitive, operational-activity, evaluative-reflective. The conducted diagnostics showed that the initial level of readiness of future physical education specialists for sports and health work with people of the third age in the experimental and control groups was approximately the same according to all criteria. In this regard, the purpose of the formative stage of the experiment was to test the structural-functional model of training future physical education specialists for sports and health work with people of the third age, taking into account the identified and theoretically substantiated organizational and pedagogical conditions. The implementation of organizational and pedagogical conditions consisted in the development and implementation of the course "Organization and Conducting Sports and Health Work with People of the Third Age". The results of the formative stage of the experiment give grounds to assert that the proposed structural and functional model of training future physical education specialists for sports and health work with people of the third age is effective under certain organizational and pedagogical conditions. The conducted research does not exhaust all aspects of training future physical education specialists for sports and health work with people of the third age. The subject of further scientific research may be: problems of theory and practice of professional training of future physical education specialists in the context of new social challenges.
