International relations pattern among participants of readers' associations. Substantiate theoretically readers' associations activity as prospective form of piblic library work. Methods of investigation: analysis of documents, observation, questioning, sociometry. The investigation of readers' associations in libraries as small social groups was held. Recommendations for group work of public library and a programme for librarians training to group work were worked out. Was applied into activity of Nikolaev libraries. Sphere of application - librarian ship.
