Unsufficiently know facts of the formation of P.Skoropadsky as a military leader and a politician in the period from August 1886 to April 1918 are considered in the thesis. The activity of Hetman P.Skoropadsky in 1918 which were formed to create of the Ucrainian State's regular Armed Forces. The conclusions from the analysis of the historical experience of military-political activity of Hetman P.Skoropadsky for using at the present of the state building of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are drawn in the thesis.
