Korol' O. Regional management in tourism (social and economic-geographical aspects).

The dissertation thesis deals with elaboration of scientific and methodical bases for regional management in tourism in the aspects of tourism organization, prognosis, planning and control, which are to be conducted for managing and coordination of tourism development. The following factors, upon which the functioning and the development of tourism organizations are dependent, have been studied: the factors of management and decision making; tourist needs; demand for tourism; tourism market; recreational resources. Studied were the managerial functions of tourism. The natural, cultural and social factors of tourism development in Carpathian region were observed. Estimated were the single recreational capacity and the attractiveness of Carpathian region in the aspect of its districts. The ways and directions for tourism development in Ukrainian Carpathians were defined.
