This dissertation is special research on the ukrainian cultural-national movement during the 1890's based on materials originating from Southern Ukraine. The fundamental tendencies and directions of the ukrainian cultural-national movement and the process of the spreading of national self-consciousness are analyzed. The evolution of the national revival in the 1890's is shown.
