Essay

The dissertation devoted to studying the clinical stage and the indices of nonspecific resistency in calves with antenatal hypothrophia. We use the bacterial derivatives "BAT-1" to stimulate immune system in calves. The quantity of the calves that are born with hypothrophia depends upon cows' age, feed quality and health condition. There was established that hypothrophic calves have decreased cell and humoral defence. Our results allow to recommend some effective methods for dealing with the problem. The results were included in methodical recommendatoin "Cattle dispanserisation" that was approved by state veterinary inspection Ukraine 12.19.1996 (protocol № 4а).
