The object of this research is the complex of primary sources, regarding the history of Southern Ukraine's land communities during the 1922-1930. The purpose of the research is the reconstruction of the land communities' activity as of the specific form of social self-regulation of the private peasants households during the 1920s. Besides the authors intends to study the peculiarities of Southern Ukrainian land communities' functioning, to generalize the historical experience of the land communities in the sense of using that experience in the process of regulating the relations between the modern peasants and the state. The research methods and apparatus are represented by the principle of historicism, the approach according to which the apprehension bears the objective character, the scholarly principle as well. The methods used while conducting the research are: historical, logical, historical-typological, historical-comparable, method of description, problematic-chronological. The theoretical resu lts and novelty: The author managed to research the real influence of the land communities on the everyday life of the Ukrainian village during the post-revolutionary period. The author pioneered in studying the problem on the regional level. The former also became capable of showing the specific features of the mentioned social institution in Southern Ukraine. The author also studied the legacy and evolution of the land communities starting from the before-revolutionary to the post-revolutionary periods. The practical result and the novelty of the current research can be described through the following idea: the materials of the current dissertation can be used for the profound studies on the Ukrainian peasants' history. The subject and the level of presentation: The author showed the specific features of administrative, judicial, social, economic and the household spheres of the Southern Ukraine land communities' activity. The effectiveness of presentation: The Lectures on the topic "The historical forms of self-regulations in Ukraine (V-XX centuries)", special course from the history of Southern Ukraine during the first quarter of the XX century. The field of the dissertation result's using: The teaching of the History of Ukraine during the XX century courses, seminar, special courses, completing of the scholarly research and text books as well as the courses on the history of self-governing in Ukraine.
