Method of intrapleural sorptive detoxication aiming the intracavitary (pleura, abscess) application of silica as adsorbent is suggested, developed and clinically introduced.The choise of sorbent was grounded, experimental investigations were carried out, optimal concentration, exposition and form were defined. Clinical application of the method in the complex treatment of complicated types of acute destructive pneumonia in children enabled to decrease volumes and treatment course time of drug therapy, to increase efficiency of sanitation and to shorten terms of treatment.
